As you can see, OCaml is actually faster than C++. OCaml has currying, garbage collection, anonymous functions etc. built-in -- therefore, you don't need to resort to extremely high-tech template programming as you do in C++. OCaml can work as an interpreter, a compiler to a portable byte-code, or a compiler to the native code. It makes us wonder if C++ has any reason to exist (It's a very inflammatory remark, I'm sorry.
